I was invited this weekend to participate in a roundtable discussion at The Bilerico Project about the Employment Non-Discrimination Act with some great folks from around the country, including Georgetown Law Professor Nan Hunter (whose blog, hunter of justice, is in my blogroll), Ramapo College Law & Society Professor Jillian Weiss and The Advocate’s Kerry Eleveld. As most readers here now, ENDA received a hearing in the House of Representatives this past week, so much of the discussion related to the hearing and the topics discussed at the hearing.
The first part of the show features an interview with Californians Against Hate’s Fred Karger, who was subpoenaed this week in retaliation for his activism against National Organization for Marriage. The whole show is worth listening to, but the ENDA roundtable can be found in Part 2.
It was a great opportunity, and I was thrilled to be able to participate. Thank to Alex Blaze for the invitation!
