Some historical background for those who see this as tit-for-tat of Democrats’ booing Bush’s remarks about Social Security during the 2005 State of the Union:

Booing is standard — Republicans other than Wilson were booing some parts of Obama’s speech, and there’s not been such a fuss against them. And history didn’t start with Bush; when Bill Clinton outlined his health care plan in 1993, some Republicans shouted “no.” Going back even further, the Jan. 5, 1950 LA Times notes Republicans booing Truman state of the union; the Jan. 6, 1936 Hartford Courant headlines “No Precedent For ‘Booing’ Of President: Roosevelt First Ever Jeered in Congress.”

Yelling out “You lie” is disruptive, and is forbidden even by the UK Parliament’s raucous standards. One can only wish that Rep. Wilson had the Churchillian wit to say “terminological inexactitude.”
