I made you some empty promises so quit being so uppity.
How about putting your money where your mouth is on whether these promises are empty? I’d be willing to invest $100 on the premise that at least one of these promises will be fulfilled by the end of Obama’s term. That is, if none of the following:
repeal of DOMA;
repeal of DADT;
enactment of ENDA (including trans);
enactment of expanded hate crimes law (including trans);
end of the HIV travel ban;
comes to pass before January 2012, I will pay you $100. If any one of them does come to pass before then, you pay me $100 (you are shorting my position). Whaddya say?
I’ll raise the odds. If ALL of them haven’t come to pass I’ll pay $100 per failed promise. (That’s a possible total of $500.) If they have all been passed, you’ll pay me $100.
