Who in the Senate Supports Marriage Equality?

When reading Pam’s post noting that Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) has changed his mind and now supports marriage equality, I began wondering:  Do we have a list of who in the House and the Senate is on the record as a marriage supporter?

In addition to Sens. Harkin (D-IA) and Dodd, who are noted in Pam’s post as being in favor of marriage equality, I know off-hand of Sens. Schumer and Gillibrand (both D-NY).  I’m going to ask for readers to please use the comments here to point — with links — to any other U.S. senators who have supported marriage equality.

I’ll then compile them into a single post, to which I will provide a link on my sidebar and keep updated.

And, this isn’t only about marriage and DOMA.  I just would think it is rare that one would find a member of Congress who has publicly announced support for marriage equality, but wouldn’t be a good target for legislative leadership on our other issues.

Also, if a comprehensive list of marriage equality supporters, with references, exists already, let me know that, too.

The next post will be an open thread to list House members.

The list (thus far):

Here is Freedom to Marry’s list of marriage supporters, which is more complete but without links.
