NBC's Williams: Souter to Retire

On The Rachel Maddow Show, NBC Justice Correspondent Pete Williams said “several sources” have said that Associate Justice David Hackett Souter “has signaled his intention to retire.”  This is surprising confirmation being reported, but Souter’s having not yet hired clerks for the upcoming term has led many to speculate that this term would be his last.
