Madigan Talks Tough [With Half of Obama's Cabinet]

Here’s a report from the foreclosure rescue scam presser featuring Cabinet officials and Illinois A.G. Lisa Madigan that I discussed last night:

Federal and state officials have put companies trying to take advantage of struggling homeowners on notice.

The department announced today it will work with the U.S. Department of Justice, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Federal Trade Commission and the Illinois Attorney General to go after firms trying to dupe homeowners who are trying to modify their mortgages.

The Madigan quote: “It’s not a question of if we’ll come after you, it’s a question of when.”

[UPDATE: Here's an AP report -- but no mention of Madigan.]
